Hermione couldn't seemed to sleep. Maybe it was Crookshanks or maybe it was because of the pressure or... maybe because of the news spread along the Wizarding World. She sighed and got out of her dormitory. Lots of sleepy Gryffindors were at the Common Room but some of them doze off. Hermione walked down the stairs and sat in one of the chairs, looking at the fire. According to the stories, students were lost in Hogwarts while wandering around. They just... disappear. And haven't came back. It had been months, as they said. Aurors had been searching. Besides from Prefects, Professors had also been wandering to watch the students. But as Hermione suspected, it has something to do with Voldemort... or Death Eaters. Its the only thing possible. Unless there's a student who wanted Hogwarts to be gone. Hopefully, not. Though, being a prefect... it was hard to think of Herself, Harry & Ron breaking the rules. She always done it, she's guilty but she'll be even more guilty without helping the two. "I guess I'll just let the world do its thing."
Hermione had been a little sleepless for a while. Prefect night duties had been longed 'cause of this spread news. There had been some advanced lessons but only a few. Well, guess you can say Hogwarts is on full alert. But sometimes it worries Hermione. What if they 'accidentally' stumbled up the place or reason why the students are lost? What would happen? Hermione sighed and looked at her hands. She was supposed to relax and sleep. But maybe the relaxation she needed was to think.

The cold cackling that Harry knew much better than he wanted rang through the room around him. That was the only sound ringing through the chaotic room. Harry's eyes were glued on the older man, whom used to be one of his father's best friends, as the man slowly fell. The cackling grew. Tearing himself away from the sight of Sirius Black falling through the veil to his death, his blood began pumping. Harry couldn't hear anything that was happening around him, and he didn't care. He had to go after the one with the insane cackling. He was going to make her pay.
But something was wrong. The cackling remained, but he wasn't where he was supposed to be. The graveyard. Harry had been here many times each night, and thus knew what was going to happen, but it seemed he was still not prepared. Cedric's body flew and his cold dead body became limp next to him. Harry tried attacking the hooded killer, but instead he was trapped against the grave of Tom Riddle Senior. The pain, the heartache. He had to run. He needed to get away from here. But no, the ugly baby transformed into the dreaded Voldemort once more, and insisted on a duel. This time it was different. Harry fell to his knees, breathing hard with no energy to continue on. With one last look at the noseless Dark Lord, a bright green light struck him.
In that instant, Harry's eyes opened feeling his breathing was extremely heavy and his clothes were soaked in his sweat. Harry stared at the ceiling for a small amount of time, before deciding that he wouldn't get any sleep, as he hadn't anyways gotten lately. Harry swallowed before slowly making his way up out of bed, and he changed into a clean pair of pajamas. Harry's breathing slowly returned to normal, though his heart was still thumping in his head. He couldn't stay up here right now, there was just too much about the room that reminded him of Sirius, Pettigrew and just everything. Ron was in his bed and Harry didn't want to worry him. He just needed to calm down and think about everything.
Harry slowly made his way down to the common room, and upon seeing no one he sat down in his favorite armchair. It was then almost instantly after he sat down that he noticed the familiar face of Hermione Granger in the same area. "Oh... er... Hi Hermione... I suppose you can't sleep either?" Harry greeted gathering himself up to not fall apart in front of her and hoping to seem like he didn't just have one of those terrible dreams reliving the death of Sirius, and well this time it included Cedric, but it was Sirius as of the late. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDCOUNT;; 473 words OUTFIT;; this TAGS;; Hermione NOTES;; Woot! Hermione sighed. She had been thinking too much ever since the news was spread. As her father said, "Don't think too much. You might overdo things." but for some reason, Hermione can't seem to apply that. For five years, herself, Harry and Ron, has been breaking the rules and solving mysteries which always links to Voldemort. To be honest, this year's start wasn't really good. For some reason, Hermione can't help but think of sneaking out herself. But if she does, the Professors would be a little alright since she's been breaking the rules among with Harry and Ron for the past years but this time? It seemed different. Especially that she's a prefect.
Hermione felt someone sit beside her. She tried to ignore for a minute but then, she heard the voice of Harry. Hermione stared at the fire and then at Harry. "Oh.. Harry." she said, a little startled. She didn't really thought of Harry getting lack of sleep. Well, at least not now. Though, Hermione wasn't sure if Harry got the news. But either way Harry would probably find something reckless to do. "Just got back from Prefect duties."

causing problems makes you famous allthis VIOLENCE makesastatement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Prefect Duties. He had forgotten.
It seemed like only yesterday Harry was buying his first wand at Ollivander's finally escaping the Dursley's place. But then again so much had happened to him, and Ron and Hermione. Even Neville had a lot going on, and he was just a clumsy Gryffindor, whom Harry did really like as a friend. Voldemort. Voldemort. Pettigrew. Voldemort. Voldemort. This year, probably Voldemort again. Those were the direct cause of everything in his whole career at Hogwarts. And even when it was Pettigrew, behind the scenes, it was Voldemort, as Pettigrew was a traitorous death eater. Everything had happened so fast that Harry couldn't even take a breather to think about everything that had been happening. Until his brain had a good blank slate at night, when he was plagued by dreams of people's deaths. Sometimes, even his parent's death appeared in his dreams. Maybe it was just his mind's way of trying to get over it.
Hermione had been there for him, through the thick and thin. When he and Ron fought, she was there. When she and Ron fought, well she was still there for him, and was a very great friend. Come to think of it, he couldn't think of a time when he and Hermione had really fought like he and Ron had before. Unless you counted in their first year when they weren't friends yet. Or that time when she nearly through a book at his head for refusing to do his DADA homework. She really was a lot like a sister to him, and an extremely great friend.
"Have fun?" Harry asked curiously, feeling only slightly tired, but knowing he couldn't get back to sleep, "Just couldn't get sleep for some reason." Such a lame excuse, but it was something he could go with. He really didn't want to discuss his dreams of seeing Sirius, Cedric, and occasionally his parents die. She knew that he had them before, but Harry hoped she assumed they had gone away. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDCOUNT;; 332 words OUTFIT;; this TAGS;; Hermione NOTES;; Woot! Hermione looked at her side to see a pile of books. Students probably left it here or sometimes there were normally books there, left by Professor McGonagal for the Gryffindor's amusement. Though, not all students appreciate it. Hermione grabbed a book, something about magical items. Last time she read a book like this, they solved who was Voldemort in their first year. And at her third year, she got a time travel necklace to undergo all her courses at Hogwarts. And lastly, at their fifth year. Hermione made a special coin to open the room of requirement to their 'D.A.'
Hermione, Harry and Ron has been through a lot. "Guess even though it is reckless, it was worth it." Because of this, Hermione's talent got wider. Now, she even knows how to use non-verbal spells better than Harry. She was glad she succeeds, if it weren't for the troll in her first year, she wouldn't be here. "Not exactly. I have to stay late up at night." Hermione muttered. But that's not the only thing. "Dreaming about Ginny?" Hermione teased.
